STORAGE TIP: Store your dumplings in a freezer until you are ready to cook.
COOKING TIP: Pan-fry on a skillet for best results and cook frozen; do not thaw. Use spatula to stir dumplings gently in between. This prevents dumplings from sticking to the pan since they are cooked frozen. Boiling vegetable filling dumplings is not recommended.
SKILLET PAN-FRY DIRECTIONS – RECOMMENDED
1: ADD – 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil or oil of your choice (not recommending sesame oil) to a 10-inch frying pan (use non stick pans only); coat evenly.
2: PLACE – 6 to 10 dumplings in a single layer with the seam side up and pan-fry for a couple of minutes; add ½ cup water (just enough to cover the bottom of the skillet).
3: COVER and COOK – over MEDIUM heat for 8 to 10 minutes, until water has evaporated and bottoms of dumplings are lightly browned.
4: STEAM – frozen dumplings for at least 15 minutes, depending on the power of the stove. Adjust cooking time as needed.
5: REMOVE– pot from heat and rest for a few minutes.
6: (OPTIONAL) - place steamed dumplings into a soup bowl you desire. It is a soup meal!
7: DEVOUR and ENJOY.
AIR FRYER BAKING DIRECTIONS
1: BRUSH – a thin layer of oil (oil of your choice) to the air fryer bottom.
2: PLACE – frozen dumplings into the air fryer.
3: BRUSH – a thin layer of oil (oil of your choice) onto the surface of frozen dumplings. Optional: sprinkle some chili powder, or our Sichuan Mala Dry Seasoning, or black pepper and cumin powder onto the dumplings.
4: BAKE – frozen dumplings at a low heat (about 300 °F) for about 8 minutes.
5: SPRAY– some oil (oil of your choice) to the surface of dumplings.
6: BAKE - another 2 minutes at about 340 °F. This is to make the skin extra crispy.
7: DEVOUR and ENJOY. Recommended to use ketchup as a dipping sauce.
